Report Card: Semester One

During active learning this semester I have put all my effort into doing fitness and other activities we do. Everyday I have been coming to class prepared with my p.e strip and have never missed a day of active learning. My work ethics when we do sporting activites have been better than before,especially in basketball, because I made it more fun for myself and made the game more fun for the people who were on my team. I will usually come to class with the most postive energy that I have, because i like to have fun in active learning and have the best work out that I can get. There has been some struggles in p.e when we will be doing some sporting activites and Erika will distract me, but during fitness she will also give me more energy by encouraging me and tell me to keep going, or when we have Locomotion, Erika and I will challenge eachother to see who can run the most laps or who can jump the highest. For me when we have done fitness activities in the past the ones that drive me to do my best are the Community-Run, because you aren't as pressured as to go the fastest by the teacher, you are pressured by yourself and it shows if you are willing to do the best workout or just to walk the whole thing and do nothing. Another fitness activity I really enjoy is Insanity, because it's a different kind of fitness and you're not running, you're actually working out the muscles and different parts of your body;however, I don't like it at some points because the gym can get very crowded and it's more difficult to work out. I also really enjoy the extended Beep Test, because you can take 3 breaks, but it teaches you that you have to space out the breaks since your going to level 21. Some of the difficult fitness acitivites we do are the regular Beep Test, because I feel pressured to get the highest score that I can. Then I start to think badly about the score that I know I'm going to get, and I start to get tired and stop. This is one of the things I really want to work on. Another fitness activity that I'm not that great at is the 25 minute run, because I feel the same way as I do about the Beep Test, I feel like I have to get the most laps as fast as I can, and I get tired really fast. That's another thing that I really want to work on this semester. When we have Choice I have helped a couple times with taking out the equiptment, but that often I want to start doing that more and start helping people take it out aswell. When we would play volleyball, I would try my best and put all my effort into it, because I enjoy volleyball, but there has been times that in volleyball I have stood around and didn't try, because the people on my team wouldn't try either, so it wasn't really fun at all. For choice, I like the weight room, because I like doing all the different kinds of exercises, for example the bikes, squats, weights, and I like learning all the different kind of activities you can do just to work out one part of your body. For this semester I think that I deserve an "A", 89%,and a G work habit because I do my best and I want to keep up my work habits and work on the actitivites that I have struggled/ am struggling with.

New Semester, Strengths & Weaknesses

In this new semester, I am planning on having a good attitude towards fitness and other activities we do in active learning. I also have goals to help out with the equipement with putting them away and bringing them out. I am going to have a positive and leadership role this semester not only me but with the people around me. Just like the way I have been doing now, I have been doing really good in fitness and other days we have active learning by pushing myself and not letting myself say I'm tired, also by telling the people around me to keep going and it doesn't only give them more energy and positive reaction, but it gives me more energy too. Since this semester has started, I have not only brought positive attitude, but I have also brought my p.e strip everyday and have never missed a day of active learning. Some of my strengths in p.e are when we do the Community Run for fitness, because when I go for runs or joggs I like to go for adventures and try new places out and I love to go for runs. Also when we do the Community Run it gives you more of a test, because you're doing it for yourself and no one is really around you, so you have to decide if you are willing to try or just not do it at all. But when I am doing the Community Run, I really like to push myself and try my best and not slack off. Some more of my strengths are when we are in the weight room, because it's the same as the Community Run it gives you more of a push, you can go your hardest or you don't try at all.. I like to try my hardest and try all the weights and different excersises. Some of my weaknesses are when we do the beep test or the 25 minute run, because you don't go places and your not trying new things, but I do push myself to have a better time and make it more fun, which gives me a better workout. I also have troubles doing those activites because you are timed and I usually like doing my workout thinking its time free. Also some of my weaknesses are when we are put into sporting activites for a regular p.e class, like ultimate, soccor, etc, because I am not really good at sports but I will try them and put my besst effort into them. This semester I am going to put the best of my abillity into active learning and push myself towards a better active lifestyle.

Final Blog!!

This year for me was a struggle at the beginning but then getting closer to the end of the term it wasn't so difficult. I have learned a lot during this year and I want to keep learning more! Like how to manage your breath while running and to pace yourself.

At the beginning I wasn't so fit as I am now. I never realised how much that could effect your health. But now I ride my bike a lot, eat really healthy food, go for runs (on my spare time or when I'm bored), and I walk to and from school everyday. This has changed my health and being fit a lot and I want to keep it up, which I will do! Also in the beginning of the year I didn't do so good on my beep test because I didn't push myself to what I could do and just stopped when I started to sweat. But by the end of this year, I have made my score the best I could because I wanted to push myself to the best I can.

I realized as well that when you are trying to get fit, its not about the score you get like the beep test it is about how you can push yourself to succeed. It's also about how much you put energy into it and how you make it fun, not just for yourself but for others. Also you have to make goals and push yourself to achieve those goals or else your just wasting time and not just yours, other peoples to! For the beep test, its about how you can push yourself to the maximum level you can do and make yourself go beyond that level and see how far your body can handle the fitness. You want to improve your skills and not just let them fall behind you because you never know if you can pick them up again and go to the spot you were, you might just fall backwards instead of going forwards.

My attendance for this year was actually really good, I don't think I have missed one day. I am never late, and I arrive to class with a  smile on my face and ready to do whatever is planned. I also bring a lot of positive attitude towards the class because it isn't fun if you're the only one smiling its better to have more people having fun and showing they care about their health instead of being negative towards p.e. My changes to fitness have become way better like I already said, I am pushing myself to the best I can do and sharing it with my friends to show them they can do it and to never give up on yourself. I decided to change my ways for p.e because I realised that I wasn't doing so good and I wanted a change I wanted to see how far I could push myself and see what my body could do.

When I come to class, I am always on a roll. I bring a smile like I said and I bring positive attitude and I make people laugh and I like that because it shows that I care about how others think about the class and for others not to see the negative side. To me being physically active means you're in shape, you eat healthy, and you exercise a lot not because you have to but because you want to keep up your health and keep up that way you smile about how care about how you are in shape. I am ready for independence because I am not always going to count on my friends because maybe in three years we aren't even going to talk to each other and if I only rely on them I am putting myself at risk. I probably won't even know what to do, so its better to be independent now instead of waiting for a change to happen when I least expect it to.

Finally, the obstacles I faced were my mind. My mind would keep on telling me to give up, i'm tired and at the beginning of the year I listened to it. But now, closer to the end of the year my mind has been saying keep going, you can go farther and I listen to that but once it starts to tell me i'm tired I wake myself up and tell myself keep going only a little bit further and I stop listening to my mind because my mind is not my body. My body can handle more and I have to push myself to get that far. The grade I think I deserve is an A because I have learned so much and I have had so much experience coming from not doing so good to doing really good and keeping it going.

Dinner for the night...

For dinner I'm having Cesar salad, BBQ steak, Texas garlic toast and milk. With the Texas garlic toast, you put it in the oven at 420 degrees f and cook it for 3 minutes and flip it over and then 3 minutes on the other side, for the steak you marinate it first with BBQ sauce, garlic powder, seasoning salt, soya sauce or steak spice for an hour ( longer the better) also poke holes in steak for the sauce to go in the steak then BBQ time varies. The Cesar salad directions come on the package that you get but it doesn't matter which way you make it then just pour milk in a cup an there's your dinner.

For fitness we did the beep test.... I got 9.7

For the beep test I did my best and I got 9.7. It's not the greatest but I tried and I put a lot of hard work into it and a lot of effort. I put three photos up on each of the things I did the best on, which were the beep test, the back press and the other photo is 9.2 when I was feeling tired but I pushed myself to keep going. I managed to practice my breathing while running and how to control it. I really need to improve on my breathing when I'm running and to keep going.

Playing tchouk ball

Today in pe we played tchouke ball. I put a lot of effort and energy in this game because it was a lot of fun. I didn't get the ball over the badminton net a couple of times which I need to work on more.
